Our Team Bios

Jeffrey Morgan, CGP
Owner/President

Jeffrey Morgan is passionate about bringing new life to urban neighborhoods with thoughtfully designed homes that are aesthetically beautiful, energy efficient and built to last. As the owner of Green Square Design | Construct, Jeff does a little bit of everything to create a home – not just a house – for Green Square’s clients. He aims to make each project a custom-fit that feels like “home” from Day 1.

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he obtained a Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Design and has over 20 years of experience in both the architecture and construction industries.

He embraces green building, and proudly serves clients as a Certified Green Professional (CGP) from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis (BAGI).

Jeff lives in Indianapolis with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys riding bikes and motorcycles, playing tennis and camping with his family.

Favorite Green Square Project: “I love the Sile home in Fountain Square – it is one of the best expressions of our interactive design process. It’s also a great example of how we collaborate with clients to create something that is not only beautiful, but also perfectly suits their needs and desires.”

Renee Kelley
Director of Business Operations

Renee is zealous about the process of making dream homes come true—from a project’s initial plans to handing clients the keys to their new home and seeing the joy on their faces.

Renee facilitates the management and completion of all projects in a timely and cost-effective manner and is responsible for bookkeeping, processes and human resources. She’s always up for a challenge and thrives on helping Green Square exceed the client’s expectations. Renee loves that Green Square values input from clients and team members alike throughout the homebuilding process.

Renee studied business administration at Aristotle College. She has a love for making the old and worn new again, whether it be furnishings, accessories or structures. In her free time, she enjoys festivals and remodeling her newly purchased 1928 bungalow.

Jason Rose
Director of Construction Operations and Business Development

Jason enjoys developing relationships with customers and trade partners. As the Director of Construction Operations and Business Development, he ensures best practices, policies and procedures are implemented to ensure projects are completed the right way, on time.

Jason has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Purdue University and is happily married to his wife, Kim, and has two kids. In his spare time, he likes watching Purdue sports (Go Boilermakers!) and working on his home.

Kate Elliot
Designer

Kate Elliott loves seeing each project she’s involved with coming together like pieces of a puzzle, each bit
having its perfect fit.

Kate works closely with Green Square clients and listens to their ideas for their soon-to-be dream home.
Like the rest of the Green Square team, she wants to understand what is important to them in order to
ensure the design is what they envisioned.

Kate is a self-taught designer with a background in photography and has experience with client success
in the technology realm. She has an eye for detail and a passion for creating the best experience for
clients.

Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, antiquing, tailgating at University of
Michigan and Butler football games and driving her Jeep Wrangler with the doors and top off.

Jack Donohue
Estimating/Purchasing Manager

Jack serves as the Estimating/Purchasing Manager at Green Square and oversees the calculation of costs and materials needed to complete a project, making sure that the correct supplies are ordered for each job.

Jack loves working with the Green Square team to solve problems. “We do a great job tackling challenges when we all put our heads together, and I enjoy working with such professional builders,” said Jack. “It’s a bonus that Green Square is in my neighborhood, and I get to see our buildings everywhere I go!”

Jack grew up in Warsaw, Indiana, and went on to study business administration at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He enjoys traveling, cooking, camping, swimming, going to concerts and football.

Favorite Green Square Project:

“I’m torn between the first two projects that I started to work on. The McCreery house, an Indy Rama show home, is very exciting because we get to display our hard work to the public. The Wagnon house, a LEED project (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), represents our ability to take on challenging designs.”

Kyle Hodges
Field Superintendent

Kyle Hodges has a passion for making homeowner’s dreams come true.

As a field superintendent, Kyle ensures projects maintain Green Square’s high-quality standards. His goal is to keep each project on track and ensure the client’s vision for their custom home is realized.

Kyle enjoys seeing the process of a client’s dream home come to fruition. He believes he has a calling to work with his hands and appreciates seeing each and every project from start to finish.

Kyle is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Indianapolis after leaving the U.S. Army in 2018. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, doing projects on his own home, long rides on his motorcycle and spending time with his four dogs and his wife, Kaitlyn.

Favorite Green Square Project:

“My favorite project would have to be the Wagnon house. The design of the interior and exterior is beautiful and I love the cedar and oak that was repurposed during the build. The kitchen is a work of art and something I could only dream of having in my own house!

Matt Mikulecky
Lead Carpenter

Green Square Lead Carpenter Matt Mikulecky works directly with clients, subcontractors, vendors and field teammates in managing projects from the ground breaking to the finishing touches. By being hands-on every day, Matt is able to see Green Square clients’ dreams come to life.

“To see how much of a positive impact we’ve made on someone’s home is the greatest feeling and accomplishment,” said Matt. “Coming from the remodeling side of construction, creating lasting relationships with clients and seeing how much we can impact someone’s life really brings me joy.”

Matt studied building construction safety management at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and traveled the Midwest and the South doing construction during his college years. Matt went on to work in high-end remodeling in Wisconsin before moving to Carmel, Indiana and beginning his position with Green Square.

In his spare time, Matt spends time with his wife and two children, loves saltwater fishing in Florida, enjoys taking in a Broadway musical here and there and coaches high school lacrosse. Matt also likes to take on remodeling projects in his own home and the homes of family members.
